A unique and gourmet Dinner Under the Stars

Dinner Under the Stars is a unique culinary event that takes place in the summer months on Dolga Njiva mountain pasture – beneath the ridge of Košuta, where guests can indulge their palate over five courses of authentic homemade mountain dishes with just a touch of modernity.

Shortly before 7 pm, when the last day hikers are leaving the pasture for the valley, over 50 guests are just setting out. Full of anticipation, covered by the sky, and taste buds at the ready, they first refresh themselves with a sweet alpine aperitif, then find their place cards and take their seats at a charmingly decorated table.

From cold appetizers, through soups, warm appetizers, main dishes and all the way to immensely delicious desserts. The menu is designed with the aim of translating homemade food and produce from the mountain pasture into attractive and tasty dishes, just as they do in the most famous of restaurants. Dinner is accompanied by the soothing ringing of cowbells and thousands of stars. 

Cuisine

Buckwheat porridge with golden fried homemade crackling, sour milk, masovnek made from mountain dairy cream, ricotta, cheese dumplings, cabbage with homemade Carniolan sausage, and one-pot meals.

Transportation to the cottage by car for the disabled only  is possible if arranged in advance.
