Kofce Mountain Dairy**
Kofce Mountain Dairy is located on the mountain pasture of Kofce, on the southern slope of the ridge of Košuta, which is the longest ridge in the Karawanks, at an elevation of about 1500 m. The mountain dairy is an excellent starting point for nearby two-thousanders and other mountain pastures. Access to the cottage is possible on foot or by bike.

During the grazing season there are about 80 head of cattle and a few horses on the mountain pasture. The milk is processed at the dairy and various products are available, from sour milk to yogurt, regular cheese, cheese with alpine herbs added, ricotta, sour cream, butter. whey, ricotta cheese spreads, etc.
Everthing served is made exclusively from ingredients produced on the mountain pasture. In summer there are also courses held on gathering wild herbs, and in autumn you can make your own mountain tea, which along with other products is also available all year.
The dairy also offers accommodation: there are 8 beds available in two rooms. Enjoy the morning view of the mountains and treat yourself to a real country breakfast During the day you can experience life at a working dairy while observing and interacting with animals, and sample the homemade foods.
In winter the dairy is open at weekends; you can descend from the mountain pasture to the lower farm (Matizovc) by sled. Access in the winter is possible on foot or using mountaineering skis.
During the grazing season (1 June. - 30 September) the diary offers traditional mountain dairy pasture foods: sour milk, masovnik, buckwheat porridge, one-pot meals, and desserts; particular soecialities are dumplings and other dishes made from buckwheat (buckwheat dumplings, buckwheat porridge, buckwheat kasha with mushrooms), bread baked in a wood-fired oven, and homemade cured meats.

Mountain dairy products (milk, ricotta, yogurt, butter, teas), courses in gathering wild herbs, workshops on "Work at a Mountain Dairy" (for organized groups of preschool children).
The mountain dairy is open nonstop from 1 June to 30 September and at weekends during the remainder of the year. English and German spoken.
