This time you'll head uphill from the Tržič Bistrica Valley going south ... past Bukov Hrib (Beech Hill) and the pasture of Vetrh to the pasture of Javornik, and from there above Lom Valley towards Storžič Mountain Hostel. A beautiful panoramic route.

ROUTE DESCRIPTION
The starting point for cycling tours is in the city centre, opposite the Tržič bus station. Parking is possible in public parking areas (parking lots at the Municipality of Tržič, on Predilniška Road at the entrance to the city-BPT, at the Tržič Olympians Hall, along the street Za Mošenikom, among others).
Go through Tržič along the main road to the northeast (towards Lom and the Dovžan Gorge). At Slap continue straight through the Dovžan Gorge, where the road will start to climb towards Dolina. From Dolina to Jelendol, the route stays pleasantly level and cool, following the course of the Tržič Bistrica River. Below the Born Mansion in Jelendol, keep to the right, following the gravel road that runs along the valley towards Medvodje. In Medvodje continue straight on and after 1.1 km turn right towards Bukov Hrib (Beech Hill). You will circumvent the hill along a beautiful scenic road; below it turn right and on returning to the main road keep to the right again and continue towards Vetrh mountain pasture. Immediately after the pasture, turn sharply left uphill and continue the ascent towards Javornik mountain pasture, where a beautiful view of Storžič extends before you.
Ride along the trail across the pasture and take the logging trail towards Javornik Saddle and Storžič Mountain Hostel. At the saddle, turn right and take the trail down to the hostel, well worth a stop for lunch. Return along the forest road to Grahovše and further through Lom pod Storžičem to Tržič.
good to know
In the summer months livestock are grazed on Javornik pasture, so be sure to close gates behind you and try not to disturb the animals by going too fast.
