The westernmost part of the Kamnik-Savinja AlpsAbove the hilly Ljubljana Basin, between Tržič and Begunje na Gorenjskem, rises the panoramic 1634-metre-high mountain of Dobrča. You can choose from among a number of marked paths to reach the summit, most of them starting from the foothill villages of Brezje pri Tržiču, Hudi Graben or Srednja Vas.

Kriška Gora
Across Mala and Velika Mizica to a panoramic viewFrom the Tržič Basin you can reach the scenic top of Kriška Gora after an ascent of two and a half hours. Before you is an elevation gain of 956 metres, but with every step you are closer to an unforgettable view. The trail is less travelled than the two that lead to Kriška Gora from Zgornje Vetrno or Gozd, and so there will be more than enough time to clear your mind.

It is just like the high mountain pasture of our dreams: a crystal clear blue sky, a sunlit mountain pasture, proud peaks above and a cottage in the middle. Inside the cottage and in front of it a bustle of happy hikers, young and old, enjoying home-cooked food.

The mountain pasture of Korošica is located on the southwestern slopes of Košutica (el. 1968 m), also called Baba by the locals. The pasture offers panoramic views and is a pleasant destination for a short trip, especially with a bowl of porridge and sour milk awaiting you there.
