K35 - Ljubelj Pass
Ascent to the top of the oldest road pass in Europe
The old Ljubelj road goes over the oldest road pass in Europe and is today closed to motorized traffic. Every year on the second Sunday in September the extremely steep inclines and 13 serpentines delight participants and spectators at the Hrast Memorial, a mountain race for oldtimer cars and motorcycles, but on the remaining 364 days of the year you will meet only hikers and cyclists there.
