Jelendol is a beautiful natural valley surrounded by mountain pastures, forests, and clear alpine rivers. Located beneath the long ridge of Košuta, the area offers mountain biking trails, hiking trails of varying difficulty, a natural climbing area, scenic viewpoints, sledding in winter, and cooling off by the Tržič Bistrica River in summer.

A special attraction of the place is the Dovžan Gorge with its natural tunnels. It has a rich cultural and historical heritage. In the immediate vicinity, you can visit scenic viewpoints, the Chapel of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Born's tomb. You will also find sports fields and pleasant picnic spots. Excursions are suitable for families (even with very small children) as well as for more demanding hikers and cyclists.

The nearby town of Tržič is known mainly for the production of leather products and footwear and is the starting point for entrance into three beautiful valleys. Podljubelj Valley in the direction towards Ljubelj Pass is known for the Born trails and mercury mines, Jelendol Valley is known for the fossils of the world-famous Dovžan Gorge, and Lom Valley is known for wood processing.

The apartment, adapted in 2021, is located in the Born mansion and offers comfortable accommodation for 4 people. It has a fully equipped kitchen (fridge, hob, oven, hood), a living room with TV and a sofa that can be converted into a double bed, a separate bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom with toilet and washing machine. The larger space, in which the living room, kitchen and dining room are located, is equipped with a fireplace, which especially in winter conjures up a very special atmosphere.

In addition to the living quarters, there is also a basement where you can store bicycles, skis, sleds, etc. In winter, you can also rent sleds.

Additional amenities

Wireless internet is available to guests during their stay. The apartment is equipped with a TV and a washing machine. It also has bed linen and towels. Games are available for the youngest guests. In the nearby area, you may also encounter fallow deer.
