Loop trail around KonjščicaThis time you'll head uphill from the Tržič Bistrica Valley going south ... past Bukov Hrib (Beech Hill) and the pasture of Vetrh to the pasture of Javornik, and from there above Lom Valley towards Storžič Mountain Hostel. A beautiful panoramic route.

From Medvodje by way of Vetrh pasture to the panoramic KonjščicaThis moderately difficult cycling route takes you through the Dovžan Gorge and Jelendol to the pasture of Vetrh. Enjoy the fantastic views as you climb up to the pasture of Konjščica and descend past Pavšel farm to Lom pod Storžičem.

From Tržič by way of Pečovnik to JezerskoThis route leads mainly through shady forest and is highly challenging in some places. But the effort is rewarded by immeasurable peace and quiet and beautiful views. To return to Tržič from Jezersko you will need to arrange for transportation to avoid cycling along nearly 35 km of paved and in places busy roads.

K21 - Storžič Mountain Hostel
An easy route through the Lom Valley to the foot of StoržičThe Lom Valley to the northeast of Tržič is located above the Tržič Bistrica Valley, nestled between the mountains of Konjščica and Javornik to the north and Storžič and Kriška Gora to the south. In cycling through this elongated glacial valley the eye will be drawn to nearby as well as more distant surroundings. From the village of Slaparska Vas onwards the forest road runs along the refreshing Lomščica Brook.

Moderately difficult route through the Lom Valley and across JavornikIf you look towards Tržič from the west, for example from Dobrča or Hudo Field (Huško polje), your gaze will almost certainly rest on the green grassy patch of Javornik, the eastern neighbour of Konjščica and Bela Peč. Hidden behind Storžič, it waits for you to reach its summit. By mountain bike, of course.

From the Podljubelj side across Bistrica pasture to a view from Poldetova KlopcaThis varied and lively route takes you from Tržič first towards Podljubelj, then soon turns towards Bistriška mountain pasture. Head towards Dobrča, and below Lešanska mountain pasture continue to Poldetova Klopca (“Polde's Bench”) towards the paraglider takeoff point, where you can enjoy the view.

K34 - Up and down around Dobrča
Physically very strenuous, this is one of the longest but also more interesting routes in Tržič.Dobrča is well known not only to hikers but also to mountain bikers as well as to paragliders, who catch the thermals on its southern slopes. Although this route does not take you up to the top, you will ride around the mountain and by the end of the route there will be an elevation change of 1.300 metres behind you.

K35 - Ljubelj Pass
Ascent to the top of the oldest road pass in EuropeThe old Ljubelj road goes over the oldest road pass in Europe and is today closed to motorized traffic. Every year on the second Sunday in September the extremely steep inclines and 13 serpentines delight participants and spectators at the Hrast Memorial, a mountain race for oldtimer cars and motorcycles, but on the remaining 364 days of the year you will meet only hikers and cyclists there.

The Border Patrol Trail for the most experiencedIn winter, Zelenica is a paradise for ski touring; in summer, it attracts large numbers of hikers. The Border Patrol Trail is hidden in the beech forest below the ridge of Ljubeljščica and is a real treat for the most experienced mountain bikers.

K37 - Around Begunjščica: Preval, Zelenica
One of the most challenging routes in the Tržič areaBegunjščica, like other peaks in the Karawanks, shows two completely different faces: the southern slopes are grassy and sunny while the northern ones are rocky and shaded. Along this challenging route with 1750 meters of elevation change you will first encounter the more friendly southern part while in the second part of the route you will be glad to reach the warm shelter of Zelenica Mountain Hostel and know that ahead of you is a fantastic descent along the Border Patrol Trail.

Moderately difficult loop trail across Bistrica pastureAfter Kovtrn'c ride from Tržič Hole to the sunny Church of St. Agnes, where you'll turn off the paved road at Blaški Skali and go along a gravel road for 2.5 km to Bistrica pasture. After a rest at the dairy you can start the rolling ride to Fabr'ka.

A tough but beautiful loop through the Tržič highlandsAs a warmup you'll ride from Tržič along the Gorenjska Balcony, then ascend from the Radovljica side to Dobrča Mountain Hostel. The keenest adventurers can climb to the summit on foot, half an hour away, before descending back to the valley. The result? An admirable 1250 m of elevation change.

K51 - Udin Woods - by bike along the edge and then boldly across
An easy loop across the landscape park of Udin WoodsUdin Woods is famous for the bandits who hid deep in the woods and in the karst sinkholes and caves. It is also known for a veritable labyrinth of trails. This route is thus laid out so that you first view Udin Woods from below, to orient yourself, and then only in the second part do you go across it. Don't worry, if you follow the directions below the risk of becoming lost is considerably lessened...

K52 - Easy cycling along the Three Bells Trail
By bike along the best sounding trail in TržičThis easy route takes you across Udin Woods along the Three Bells Trail. Take time to warm up at the beginning and then stretch at the end at the trail fitness stations just beside the path. A stone's throw from the trail is the nature trail through the Blata Wetland, and in the village of Žiganja Vas you can go inside a hollow in the trunk of a 500-year-old village linden tree.
