Dovžan Gorge

The Dovžan Gorge is located in the heart of the Karawanks range and is one of the geologically most fascinating areas of Slovenia. It is located 4.5 km from the centre of Tržič, or about 30 minutes by bike. This natural monument is distinguished by a huge diversity of sedimentary rocks and fossil remains.

Take a walk along the Scenic Educational Trail and the Forest Educational Trail through the gorge and learn about the rich geological heritage revealed by the Tržič Bistrica, a mountain river.

The Rosary Trail by bike

The Rosary Pilgrimage Trail is unique in all the world. It has the shape of a rosary but it is so big that this is hidden to the eye. From Tržič set off across Brda and Dobrave toward the Mary Help of Christians Basilica in Brezje. The circular trail, which passes through beautiful shady forests and flowering meadows, will calm your mind and relax your body.

Easy cycling along the Three Bells Trail

This easy cycling route takes you through Udin Woods along the Three Bells Trail. A nature trail through Blata Wetland lies close to the trail, and in Žiganja Vas you can go inside the hollow trunk of a more than 500-year-old village linden tree.
Most of the route goes along a well-maintained gravel forest trail, hence it is passable in just about any weather

There are 245 bikes available in the Gorenjska.bike system in Kranj, Jesenice, Radovljica, Tržič and Naklo. Users can borrow or return a bike at any station in the system. List of stations

Registration is required for use. Users can register in the system via the website or through the smartphone application MOBILN.SI.

The system is easy to use and it takes just minutes to borrow or return a bike. Every bike station has its own self-service terminal, lock, and bikes.
The system operates from March until November.
