Dobrča Mountain Hut
Above the hilly Ljubljana Basin, between Tržič and Begunje na Gorenjskem, rises the scenic mountain of Dobrča, 1634 m high, with a mountain hut located somewhat lower. There is a choice of several marked trails to the summit, which lead for the most part from the foothill villages of Brezje pri Tržiču, Hudi Graben and Srednja Vas. The views of the valley below, which you can enjoy from a food-laden table, are breathtaking.

Gozd Mountain Refuge (891 m)
The refuge is located at the western edge of the village of Gozd along the road that comes from Križe. The village is sited on a beautiful terrace on the southern slope of Kriška Gora. The refuge is surrounded by forest on three sides; when you step onto the nearby meadow towards Kriška Gora, a view of the nearby mountains opens up. The lower station of the freight cable car to Kriška Gora is located at the refuge.

The Karavla 297 Inn is located below the Ljubelj border crossing, alongside the Ljubelj labour camp memorial, and is an excellent starting point for hikes in the nearby mountains, or for a meal to regain your strength after a hike. On offer are top quality Slovenian dishes such as venison, lamb, trout, soups and stews, and of course the famous Tržič bržola.

Kofce Mountain Hostel
BEST MOUNTAIN HUT 2019 - The mountain hostel is located on the scenic pasture of Kofce, which lies on the southern slopes of the western part of Košuta. From the hostel a beautiful view opens up of the ridge of Košuta, the mountains above Jezersko, where Grintovec stands out in the middle, Begunjščica and a part of the Julian Alps in the background.

Kriška Gora Hut
The hut lies at an elevation of 1471 m, at the top of the sunny Mežnar hay meadows on the western part of the elongated ridge of Kriška Gora, and is an excellent starting point for climbing Tolsti Vrh, an hour away. It is one of the stops along the Via Alpina hiking trail.

Lešanska mountain pasture
Lešanska mountain pasture (1450 m), owned by the Agrarian Community of Leše, is located on the eastern part of Dobrča. A herder's hut, open to visitors, is located on the pasture. There is a beautiful view towards Kriška Gora, Tolsti Vrh, Košuta, Storžič and further on towards Javornik, Stegovnik and Grintavci.

Pri Bajdu Inn
This is an inn with more than a century of tradition. The earliest records of the existence of the inn date from 1871. At first the inn was known as a stopping point for wagon-drivers, where the horses could rest for a time from their long journey and the drivers could take refreshment.

Preval (or Prevala) mountain pasture, located on the southeastern slope of Begunjščica, is a popular excursion and hiking destination. From the pasture, where there is also a herder's hut, there is a beautiful view of the southern slopes of Begunjščica, the Julian Alps with Triglav, Košutica and Veliki Vrh on Košuta. Storžič Mountain Hostel
Storžič Mountain Hostel (1123m) is located at the upper end of the Lom Valley, near the mighty north wall of Storžič. From Tržič it is accessible by way of Lom pod Storžičem and Grahovše. A number of hiking trails lead past the hostel to Storžič, Javornik, Tolsti Vrh and Košuta. The Purple Trail of the Via Alpina also passes by here.

Šija Scouts Hut
The hut is located in the Košuta range, more precisely on the mountain pasture of Šija. The buildings of the former guardhouse have been converted into a pleasant mountain hut by Scouts. It can serve as a starting point for approaches to nearby summits (Veliki Vrh, Kofce Gora, Malo Kladivo, Kladivo or traversing Košuta to Košutnikov Tower (Turn)) or as a pleasant place to stop and eat while exploring the mountain pastures that lie along the slopes of Košuta.

The hut on Korošica mountain pasture
The mountain pasture of Korošica is located on the southwestern slopes of Košutica (el. 1968 m), also called Baba by the locals. The pasture, where there is also a herders' hut, offers views of Košutica or Baba, Veliki Vrh on Košuta, towards Begunjščica and Vrtača.
